Tips And Tricks : Taking Care Of Your Oculus

The Oculus is a budget and comfortable VR headset for standalone use that lets you test out VR without making an enormous purchase in the hardware.

Keep it cool

Direct sunlight is a definite no-no! In fact, Oculus may suffer permanent damage from less than a minute of direct exposure to light.  Experience virtual reality with the magnetic oculus Quest 2 prescription lenses which protects your lens with a sturdy Oculus lens adapter.

Protect the lenses and display by storing the headset away from windows and other direct sources of light.

Keep it clean

As with any consumer electronic, it’s important to keep your Oculus clean. While some wear and tear over time may be expected, there are steps you can take to keep your headset looking its best and in good working order.

Use a clean, dry cloth to clean the outside of your headset and non-abrasive anti-bacterial wipes to clean the straps and facial interface foam.

It’s also safe to gently hand wash the facial interface and straps with mild detergent after detaching them from the headset.

Keep it safe

Thanks to its convenient standalone form factor, Oculus is easy to take along, wherever you might travel. But before you throw it in your backpack or purse, make sure to protect the headset and lenses from sharp objects like keys, charging cables, or your handy Swiss Army knife. You should also be sure to store your Oculus somewhere safe when not in use and protect it from the inquisitive paws, claws, and jaws of children and pets.
